Meta recently announced the global rollout of real-time translation for its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. Previously, this feature was limited to early testing users in select markets. This full launch allows users to enjoy more convenient language conversion across various scenarios, especially the ability to overcome language barriers offline. According to Meta, the real-time translation feature on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses now covers global sales markets and supports English, French, and Italian (among other languages).

Meta recently announced that its Ray-Ban smart glasses will introduce three new features: Real-Time AI, Real-Time Translation, and Shazam. Currently, the Real-Time AI and Real-Time Translation features are available only to members of Meta’s early access program, while the Shazam feature is open to all users in the United States and Canada. The Real-Time AI and Real-Time Translation capabilities were first previewed earlier this year at the Meta Connect 2024 conference. Real-Time AI allows users to interact with their surroundings while the glasses continuously observe the environment.

Recently, the sales performance of Meta's smart glasses, launched in collaboration with Ray-Ban, has been impressive in Europe. In some stores, Meta's smart glasses have even surpassed traditional Ray-Ban sales prior to the launch of AI features. According to the latest report, the smart glasses named Ray-Ban Meta have become the best-selling product in 60% of Ray-Ban stores. This information comes from the CFO of EssilorLuxottica.
